Hitori Island is a numerical logic puzzle played on a grid (7x7, 8x8, 9x9, 10x10), which has been divided into separate cells. Each cell contains a number.

The purpose of the puzzle is to eliminate repetitive numbers so that the number is not more than once in any row or column.

When all the duplicates have been removed (turned into dark cells water), the remaining light cells (sand) create an island. Dark cells cannot isolate any part of the island - it must remain the only one. You should be able to get to any part of the island without swimming.

To eliminate duplicate numbers, use the mouse to click on any cell. This cell will become dark.
Isolating the cells, which should be light, will make it easier to solve the puzzle. Click on the cell and hold the mouse for half a second. A circle will appear next to this number.
Dark cells cannot be arranged horizontally or vertically, although they can be arranged diagonally.
Light cells should not be isolated from the rest of the grid by blue cells either vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
A cross-hatch will appear indicating that you have done the row or column correctly.

How to solve Hitori

We will circle the cells that cannot be stained.
